Do you suffer with any of the following?
- General aches and pains?
- Back problems?
- Digestive issues?
- Headaches or migraines?
- Sleeping issues?
- Hormonal imbalances?
Then reflexology could be the treatment to help you.
Reflexology has been used for 1000’s of years to help control and maintain many physical ailments and soothe emotional upset. Past experiences with my clients have lead to them sleeping better, seeing a marked improvement in their anxiety and stress levels and also helped balance hormone imbalances.
What Is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect the image of the body on the feet, with the premise that such work effects a physical change in the body and a healthier balanced mind.
What Are The Benefits Of A Reflexology Treatment?
- Can help you feel more rested and relaxed.
- Lower blood pressure.
- Regulate hormones.
- Help manage symptoms of stress and depression.
- Can help manage pain and discomfort of different ailments and disorders.
- Can regulate your sleeping pattern.
- Give you a general sense of good health and well-being.
How Often Should I Have A Reflexology Treatment?
If you have specific ailments, disorders or conditions that you would like reflexology to help treat, ideally one treatment every 7 days is advised. However having a treatment every two weeks can be beneficial also. A lot of people just enjoy a ‘good foot rub’ so have it as a treat. It’s entirely up to you as the client.
What Should I Expect When I Come For The Treatment?
On arrival at Mez-Mer-Eyez you will be welcomed into the salon where a few contact details will be taken. This will then be followed with a few questions detailing your health and lifestyle and any specific issues you wish to try and treat with Reflexology. The treatment takes place on the couch where you can either be sat upright or led down, the choice is up to you.
Your feet will then be cleansed and sanitised. Oil/lotion will then be applied to the feet and a gentle but firm massage will then take place to warm the feet and get you accustomed to the sensation. It’s important to mention that reflexology is performed with quite a firm pressure, meaning the issue of ‘tickly’ feet shouldn’t be a problem. The treatment will then continue with thumb pressures etc. The whole process is then continued onto the other foot.
Some people will fall asleep during the treatment which is completely fine, some will be really interested and have lots of questions to ask, others may be happy just to chit chat. Whatever you feel comfortable with is fine by me.
My priority is how at ease and relaxed you feel, so you in turn can get the best possible outcome from your session.

- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment
- Try not to smoke for at least 24 hours after your treatment
- Have a light meal
- Drink plenty of water
- You may well feel quite lethargic after your treatment so take a nap
- Ideally try to have a relaxing rest of your day
